Prairie Spirit Alpacas is an alpaca farm in the foothills of the Rockies in Alberta Canada.
We breed for excellence in fleece and conformation in all colours and have select bloodlines from Snowmass and Accoyo America in the US.
We also have excellent animals from Canadian Stock , including Jolimont Peruvian Sweet William who has long lasting fineness with an AFD of 22.2 with 5.5 %> 30 at the age of 18.
We have several of his white as well as coloured offspring as foundation animals on the farm .
One of our herd sires Indigo who is out of all Snowmass bloodlines had produced very well ,producing two champion sons , and beating Snowmass Conopa in the Get of Sire class.
HIs Fawn Champion son Madison has taken over as our main herdsire, he excels in both density and fineness .
We have also had the fortune to share Snowmass Velvetier as a herdsire, he is well known for fineness, coming in #1 out of the whole ARI registry in EPD's for fineness. He also has excellent conformation with a perfect bite and head.
We also are also using Black Thunder , a very dense true black herdsire out of BB King and Accoyo Calendula . He has produced some very nice offspring including the Black Princess who was Reserve Champion Black at the Futurity .
We offer agisting and quarantine for animals travelling to Europe from the US as well as quarantine and transport to the border for animals sold to the US.
